Reinforcement of the Rosedale United Church balcony guard rail has been completed. It is now rock solid and engineered to modern safety standards. And, it looks almost exactly the way it did before construction - by design.
The only visible differences are that the fasteners have changed from slotted screws to hex sockets, and the wood shims used to level the guard originally are gone.
