Work on the exterior doors at Christ Church Deer Park got underway in June. The project includes restoration of a number of existing wood doors, and the installation of two new doors which will bring light and transparency to the church's principle entrances.
The existing door leaves are being taken to the shop one pair at a time for restoration, including wood replacement, regluing veneers, refinishing the exteriors, and repairing the interior finishes.
At the moment, the first door has been reinstalled on site after restoration, and it looks great! The remaining restoration will be completed over the next four weeks or so, and the new doors installed later in August.
